Description
Primarily a natural preserve, Big Talbot Island is one of the northernmost islands on the east-coast of Florida. This state park is a premier location for nature study, bird-watching and photography. Here, the Blackrock Trail leads out to the shoreline and a huge collection of driftwood. Beach erosion continues to whittle away at the bluff line, toppling live oak and cedar trees that once grew along the beach.

Love the shadow of the tree that is still standing, even though it is destined to join its brothers on the beach eventually.
