Description
Nevada's Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park lies in a remote section of Shoshone Mountain Range about three and half hours from the state capital, Carson City. Here in this central Nevada state park you'll find the old ghost town of Berlin, preserving a collection of 100 year old buildings. A network of trails is woven among the rabbitbrush and the array of buildings, rusted equipment, stamp mill and cemetery. Buildings, in a state of arrested decay, are identified and marked with descriptive placards. Along with a huge stamp mill, ghost town enthusiasts will find a miner's homes, a post office, union hall, infirmary and stagecoach station. The town produced about 800,000 dollars of gold and silver during its heyday.

Great photo, Ben - I'd love to see this place! Imagine all the rust and rotted wood - my camera wouldn't know where to go next.
