Description
Named for its large deposits of silver chloride in the Cerbat Mountains, Chloride was founded on rich deposits of silver and gold. Today, mine operators in Chloride still dig for silver, gold, zinc, lead and turquoise, but modern mining equipment requires a substantially fewer amount of workers than the 19th century boom years. So, many of the homes were left vacant, but Chloride is considered a living ghost town.
There were always a few rowdy miners and the Chloride Jail was just big enough to hold a few renegades.
