Description
Most out-of-state guests think of Florida vacations as a time in the sunshine, under a palm tree on the beach. State residents recognize that the interior of the state is covered in palmetto scrub, cabbage palms and huge forests of stately pines. The southern yellow pine tree makes up a large percentage of the state's trees and keeps the skyline green throughout the year.
This lonesome pine casts a bold silhouette against a sky of soft pastels created by a fading sun and late day clouds.
