Description
Hillsboro, a small town in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, is is the county’s oldest communities. Chartered in 1886, U.S.. Route 219 passes right through the heart of town. A mix of buildings and houses line each side of the two lane road, including the Hillsboro General Store. Aside from the pealing paint and faded lettering on the building, you can't help but notice how close the front steps are from the highway. Most likely the old store has seen the highway widened a few times, with each project nearing closer to the vintage market. Unable to compete with modern convenience stores, today the building is just a storage place for a sizable stack of firewood.

Love the sepia tones and your editing of this image, it lends authenticity to the age of the building.

I love old historic buildings, and their history Ben, and you've captured this one beautifully!
