Description
The four story concrete Juliette Grist Mill was constructed in 1927 alongside Georgia's Southern Railroad. Replacing an old wooden mill structure, the new mill was the largest water-powered milling structure in the world at the time.
Covering 21,000 sq. ft. of floor space, the old mill overlooks the Ocmulgee River. Ceasing operations in 1957, Martha White Mills and Dixie Lily Milling Company utilized the mill before its closing.
