Description
Portland Head's sunrise creates a beautiful silhouette of the 80 foot tall lighthouse, the first built on Maine's coastline. Here at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, the Portland Head Light Station is one of the most photographed lighthouses in America. Commissioned during the late 1700s by George Washington, the lighthouse is still in operation today.

Nice, this one is on my list as a early bird shoot.

Thanks Steve - the park opens at sunrise ... so choose your spot the day before.
