Description
Hawaii's BIG surf, especially on the North Shore, creates some of most extreme surfing in the world. Considered the surfing capital by many, the sport was practiced by the ancient Hawaiians centuries ago. The 19th century Hawaiian people never considered surfing as a recreational activity or hobby, but was just a part their culture and more of an art form.
Here on the north shore of Maui at Baldwin Beach, this colorful line of old boards creates an iconic surfboard fence. A Frangipani, or plumeria, creates a backdrop for this unique fence.
