Description
Accompanied by a full moon, the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse casts its beam out over the Atlantic, just as it always has for the last 150 years. Althought the Fresnel lens has been replaced be a more modern light, the lighthouse continues its duties to warn of the shallows at Canaveral Bight.
Built by the West Point Foundry in Cold Spring, New York, the cast-iron tower still handles all the the tropical weather that comes its way.
