Artist's Description

Cadillac Mountain, the tallest peak on the Maine coast, towers over the rocky coastline by 1500 feet. One of the most popular destinations in Acadia National Park, this rounded seacoast mountain is made up of an immense block of granite. And the majority of the mountain, well worn over a very long period of time, is a lovely pink stone. Known for its fantastic viewpoints, some national park visitors hike to the top, while many others take the paved road. At certain times of the year, all that reach the top by the time of an early morning sunrise can claim to be the first to see the sun in the United States.

Born in western Pennsylvania, Ben quickly discovered that his parents were passionate about travel, photography, oil painting and wildlife. Being the youngest member of his family, he grew up exploring much of the eastern half of the United States at an early age with his older brothers. Ben's photography is about that part of his youth, echoing that same passion that his parents had of the Great Outdoors. Visit
