Artist's Description

While much of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park can be seen from your car, but a visit to Cades Cove to see the historic buildings requires visitors to take short footpaths to these old treasures. The John Oliver cabin, built in the early 1820s, is one of the oldest structures in the park, The one and a half story log home served the Oliver family for over a century.

Born in western Pennsylvania, Ben quickly discovered that his parents were passionate about travel, photography, oil painting and wildlife. Being the youngest member of his family, he grew up exploring much of the eastern half of the United States at an early age with his older brothers.
