Construction orders for this lighthouse were issued by America's first president, George Washington. Completed in 1791, the 80 foot tall lighthouse was the first on Maine's coastline. Today, the structure stands on the grounds of Fort Williams Park.
About Ben Prepelka
Born in western Pennsylvania, Ben quickly discovered that his parents were passionate about travel, photography, oil painting and wildlife. Being the youngest member of his family, he grew up exploring much of the eastern half of the United States at an early age with his older brothers.
