Artist's Description
For a short distance, between Riggins and White Bird, a section of Idaho's U.S. Route 95 parallels the Salmon River. Not more than 10 miles from the famous Hell's Canyon, this section of the Salmon River has cut its own gorge through the Miocene basalt. Running through the Salmon River Canyon, the river does its best imitation of a backward letter S before it approaches its confluence of the Snake River. This section of the rugged canyon marks the end of the River of No Return.
About Ben Prepelka
Born in western Pennsylvania, Ben quickly discovered that his parents were passionate about travel, photography, oil painting and wildlife. Being the youngest member of his family, he grew up exploring much of the eastern half of the United States at an early age with his older brothers. Ben's photography is about that part of his youth, echoing that same passion that his parents had of the Great Outdoors. Visit
