Evening view of the Boca Grande Lighthouse during the Christmas season. Marking the entrance to Charlotte Harbor, the lighthouse and keepers quarters have endured the Gulf's violent storms for the last 120 years. The late day sun casts a a golden hue to this Florida seacoast scene.
Located on the tip of the island is one of the most valuable pieces of land in Florida's state park inventory. Here, Gasparilla Island State Park occupies 144 acres of beachfront by the Boca Grande Pass, a deep water cut that separates Gasparilla Island from Cayo Costa.
Born in western Pennsylvania, Ben quickly discovered that his parents were passionate about travel, photography, oil painting and wildlife. Being the youngest member of his family, he grew up exploring much of the eastern half of the United States at an early age with his older brothers. Ben's photography is about that part of his youth, echoing that same passion that his parents had of the Great Outdoors. Visit
