Description
Primarily a natural preserve, Big Talbot Island is one of the northernmost eastcoast islands in Florida. This state park is a premier location for nature study, bird-watching and photography. The Blackrock Trail here leads out to the shoreline and a huge collection of driftwood. Beach erosion continues to whittle away at the bluffline, toppling live oak and cedar trees that once grew along the beach.

Striking black and white image, Ben! I think of the thrill you must have felt while taking this wonderful shot! The apparent sweeping movement of those clouds adds so much interest as the background to this unusual massive driftwood find! LF
