Artist's Description

Carved by recent glaciation, the beautiful blue Jenny Lake was created when Cascade Canyon was blocked with glacial till. One of a half dozen lakes fed by the Snake River, Jenny Lake is often thought of as the most picturesque. A shuttle boat ferries sightseers across the lake to the ever popular Inspiration Point, Hanging Canyon and Hidden Falls. A trail surrounds the lake and connects with Cascade Canyon, String Lake, and Leigh Lake. One of the premier loop trails, for the experienced hikers, takes in Paintbrush Canyon, Lake Solitude and Cascade Canyon.

About Ben Prepelka

Ben Prepelka

Born in western Pennsylvania, Ben quickly discovered that his parents were passionate about travel, photography, oil painting and wildlife. Being the youngest member of his family, he grew up exploring much of the eastern half of the United States at an early age with his older brothers. Ben's photography is about that part of his youth, echoing that same passion that his parents had of the Great Outdoors. Visit
