Artist's Description
Inspired by the second oldest lighthouse in America, Oklahoma City's Lighthouse at East Wharf was built of concrete. Also known as the Lake Hefner Light, the hexagonal tower's concrete panels were prefabricated and quickly raised on site. In an area subject to tornados, the lighthouse is just as sturdy as those on the coast.
About Ben Prepelka
Born in western Pennsylvania, Ben quickly discovered that his parents were passionate about travel, photography, oil painting and wildlife. Being the youngest member of his family, he grew up exploring much of the eastern half of the United States at an early age with his older brothers.
