Artist's Description
When taking one of northwestern Connecticut's back-road rambles through a pleasant mix of small towns and fields of promising crops, there's a good chance you'll drive through Litchfield. It's here "where all four points of the compass meet." Sinclair Lewis stated, "The only street in America more beautiful than North Street in Litchfield ... is South Street in Litchfield." He could have continued, passing his opinion on the beauty of the Town Green, where East and West streets meet North and South streets at the round-about.
Laid out in the mid 1700s, today Litchfield's wonderfully shaded streets and immaculate homes appear unchanged from yesteryear.
About Ben Prepelka
Born in western Pennsylvania, Ben quickly discovered that his parents were passionate about travel, photography, oil painting and wildlife. Being the youngest member of his family, he grew up exploring much of the eastern half of the United States at an early age with his older brothers. Ben's photography is about that part of his youth, echoing that same passion that his parents had of the Great Outdoors. Visit
