Artist's Description

This e-charcoal rendering of a bronze sculpture by James A. West, named Point of View, marks the end of the Grand View Avenue Scenic Byway in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The scupture depicts George Washington and the Seneca leader Guyasuta in a face-to-face meeting taking place in October, 1770.

Born in western Pennsylvania, Ben quickly discovered that his parents were passionate about travel, photography, oil painting and wildlife. Being the youngest member of his family, he grew up exploring much of the eastern half of the United States at an early age with his older brothers.
