Description
This Sam Hill Farm along Chatsworth Highway in rural Georgia is one of hundreds of farms scattered among the footprint of the Chattahoochee National Forest.
Here in Gilmer County farmland continues to shrink. Over a 5 years period the county lost 30 percent of its farms. Not far from Ellijay, this barn is slowly giving way to the elements and the never-ending tug of gravity. While this old farm building creates a great subject for photography, one has to wonder when the number of dwindling farms will have a severe impact at your supper table.
