Worlds End State Park, surrounding a narrow S-shaped valley created by the Loyalsock Creek, is engulfed by the Loyalsock State Forest. Located near Forksville in Pennsylvania's Sullivan County, the park features a diverse terrain in the heart of the Endless Mountains. Its rugged beauty is enjoyed throughout its lush forests, which are sliced up with fast running streams, mesmerizing waterfalls, and challenging hiking trails.
Although Worlds End State Park is only 780 acres, its borders are intertwined with the huge Loyalsock State Forest. Here in a very rural part of the state, recreational activities may keep vacationers busy for days. One of the first items of exploration should include a drive or hike to the Loyalsock Canyon Vista. Energetic hikers may take take the four-mile Canyon Vista Trail to this incredible overlook, while those not ready up for an uphill battle may drive up. The very popular Loyalsock Canyon Overlook offers a birds-eye view of the valley far below. Once everyone has had a good look at the marvelous canyon view, an about-face will lead the pack across the road to the Rock Garden. Here you'll find an incredible jumble of huge boulders. Especially entertaining for youngsters who are full of energy, climbing among this rock maze usually leads to a game of hide and go seek or tag! What a great introduction to Worlds End State Park, located in the northeast quadrant of the Keystone State.
