Description
First built on Potts Creek in 1863 by Henry Tingler, the Tingler's Grist Mill you see today was mostly likely raised on the old foundation in 1897. Working with son-in-law W. H. (Harve) Humphreys, Tingler borrowed 10,000 dollars to expand the Paint Bank mill to produced flour on a large scale. Mill restoration began in 2004 and is now open on weekends for demonstrations and public tours.
