Here in Floyd County, Virginia, Route 799 follows the erratic path of Burkes Fork Creek. More fun than an amusement park ride, this twisting mountain road is a thrill-ride for any motorcycle or sports car owner. Peeking over the crest of Conners Grove Road gives the impression that there will be foggy conditions ahead as travelers dip down into a valley. These foggy mornings are not rare for the locals, but a real treat for any photographer.
