Description
About 40 miles west of Austin, Texas, a small town grew up along Rocky Creek, a tributary of the Pedernales River. Mostly a farming and ranching community, Hiram G. (Hye) Brown saw the need for a general store in 1880. With a steady influx of settlers, the town soon earned its own post office. The community was later named for Hye Brown and his store continued to operate until 1945.
Today, the store and post office now bear the distinction of a Texas Historical Landmark. The Hye Market serves the community and the post office has been repurposed for family and buffet style dining.

That looks like such a great spot! I think it demands being a photo gallery/book/coffee shop! Hey, dreams are important. I really like that you take time to add the history in the description.
