Description
The Old Mill of Pigeon Forge, built along the Little Pigeon River in 1830, is a popular stops for visitors headed to the Great Smoky Mountains. Using the same equipment when the mill was first built, visitors are able to watch the millers grind flour and corn meal.
Once a central hub in Sevier County during the pioneer days, the Old Mill is the only structure in the area recognized by the National Register of Historic Places. Among the most photographed mills in the country, the Old Mill and general store continue to be a treasured highlight in the Gatlinburg area.
