Description
There are plenty of opportunites in the Clayton area to enjoy the great Georgia outdoors. About 10 miles out of town, a few miles off Warwoman Road, Hale Ridge Road leads to a great waterfalls hike. There are two major waterfalls, one on Ammons Creek and the other across the valley at Holcomb Creek Falls. Starting from the upper trailhead, this waterfall is the first significant drop on Ammons Creek. The inviting pool below the falls has many people stopping to enjoy this splendid scene, but the real Ammons Creek Falls is downstream.
