Description
The Jones Gap Trail follows the Middle Saluda River and leads park-goers' on two waterfall hikes. Jones Gap Falls and Rainbow Falls entice day hikers to pick their way upriver through a thick forest canopy on a pathway lined with rhododendron. It's pleasant hike along the Middle Saluda, passing moss-covered rocks, small cascades, clear pools and riffles.
A popular hike in Jones Gap State Park, the Jones Gap Falls trail totals about 3 mile round-trip. While the falls has slowed considerably during the autumn season, the colorful foliage creates a gorgeous hike.
