Description
Located along New Hampshire's Ellis River in the White Mountain National Forest, one of the most popular stops in the Pinkham Notch area is the beautiful Glen Ellis Falls. Here along the scenic Kancamagus Highway this waterfall site attracts a steady flow of tourists who are out enjoying some of the best scenery anyone may experience in New England during the autumn season.
This historic site was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s with just a short hike to a 65 foot dramatic waterfall.
This steady flowing waterfall is quite exceptional, dropping into deep plunge pool. It may look mighty tempting during the sultry days of summer, but swimming here is off limits and could be very dangerous.
