Description
An area filled with picturesque waterfalls, beautiful streams, and lush forests, the McIntyre Wild Area is a subsection of the Loyalsock State Forest. About a half-hour north of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Miners Run drops over 350 feet in a series of six waterfalls.
Hikers may chose either to climb up through the falls and stream or follow a faint pathway at the edge of the stream. Rusty Glessner suggests you take the west side of the stream going up and after the second falls, cross over to the other side and pick your way up the hillside.
